Our Advocacy

At Students United, we amplify student voices to reshape higher education in Minnesota. 

We advocate at every level of government. From the Minnesota State Systems Office, to the federal government.

Our mission is simple: guided by student leaders, we fight for policies that empower our students, uplift our communities, and create a better higher education experience for all students.

Systems Level

The Minnesota State system serves as the governing body that establishes policies for our universities.

We are championing initiatives to enhance accessibility and equity on our campuses. Our advocacy revolves around expanding access to free textbooks and ensuring that students have access to the services needed for their academic success.

State Level

Our advocacy is changing the landscape of higher education at the state level.

We’re fighting for policies that empower students and bring us toward a future where education is affordable, accessible, equitable, and a catalyst for positive change.

Federal Level

Our advocacy extends to the national stage, where we advocate to shape federal policies that increase affordability, expand access to resources, and promote civic participation among students.

 

Our goal is to sculpt a more equitable and accessible higher education system for all.
