Meet our New Voter Outreach Intern Amanda Boss

Hello,

I am Amanda Boss and I am very excited to be the new Voter Outreach Intern for Students United!

About me; I am from a small farm town in Kenosha, Wisconsin, very different from the Twin Cities.

Currently, I am in my senior year as I attend Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota where I study Political Science and Public Administration. I have spent my time at Winona State as a Student Senator for two years and as Public Relations Chair. I have also worked with Students United for two years, first as a Legislative Specialist and then as an Issues Specialist, lobbying for students across the state of Minnesota at the state capitol.

I enjoy engaging others in politics because it affects all of our futures. This is why I am passionate about the work Students Untied does in reaching students and showing them how to exercise their fundamental right to vote. I am excited to work with Get Out The Vote as it is very important college students are aware of the issues in the political arena, as how they vote can directly affect their lives.

A few fun facts about me; I am a proud mom to two beautiful cats. I am also a major fan of the Chicago Bears, but I set aside the rivalries to get work done.

I look forward to working with students from all seven Minnesota State university campuses!
