Strategic Plan: Alumni

Our strategic plan has five areas that our organization see as essential to our success and that also have room for growth: Advocacy, Alumni, Scholarship Programs, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Process Improvements. To better understand our plan and the work we will embark on over the next three years, we are breaking down each of the strategic plan areas into a series of blogs.

Alumni

Increase alumni participation to accomplish the organization’s work.

Here are the four objectives we will work for through our Strategic Plan:

  1. Increase and then maintain 10% of our alumni as engaged alumni through the duration of this plan.
  2. Target donations from alumni on Give to the Max Day, with the intent of increasing to 50 donations from alumni on Give to the Max Day by 2020.
  3. Provide a minimum of four alumni-student events per year, two of which include alumni providing training for students, and all four providing intentional networking between alumni and students.
  4. Create and maintain a minimum of 20 alumni who are highly engaged.

Our organization advocates for nearly 70,000 students. These students go on to graduate, find jobs, and become professionals within their field of study. Our goal is to stay connected with the students who found a passion for our work during their college years. Either by encouraging them to help push our agenda by sending legislative action alerts, giving back to students through donating to our scholarship programs, or by volunteering their time to helping our students.
