Below are Dan Freehan’s answers to the questions Students United sent out to candidates.

John Persell replied that he was unable to record his response to our questionnaire. However, we provided his response below. Persell is currently running for the Minnesota State Representatives District 5A seat. Bemidji State University is in District 5A.

I was unable to record my responses to your questionnaire as attached to your email. However, I write to advise that I have, and will continue to advocate for State subsidization of tuition at Minnesota’s Technical and University institutions. My goal is to restore the two thirds State tuition subsidy that was in place before the Ventura Administration changed the formula. All Minnesota students should have equal opportunity to attend our higher education institutions.
