It is undeniable, that one of our greatest strengths as Minnesota State students is our ability to use what we have learned to enact positive change. But how can we be an immovable pillar of change, when we still have issues affecting us individually and collectively as students? As Students we face a vast number of issues daily including, Food Sustainability to housing insecurities to Equity and inclusion, to textbook affordability, Educational policies, Campus Security, Job Opportunities, parking, these are just few amongst the vast amount we face daily as students.

Since sojourning in South-West Minnesota in 2016, I have had the opportunity to advocate for students at my alma mater, SMSU. Overtime, there has  been effective progress germane to having a  food pantry, a growing campus climate, having the option to use older  edition to save cost on textbook , -to name a few achievements  and this has been achievable with the help of the administration , my fellow students and Campus Staffs.  Now I look forward to getting the same result, even better at all the seven Minn. state Campuses ,for which I plan on advocating  and serving them better with the help of our passionate staff members, board of directors and most importantly YOU!

And I can tell you: I see a time soon, where being a student will absolutely be about having the best College experience; irrespective of your Age, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Religion, Financial status, Political views and ethnicity.   Presently, what we have now is good and without a doubt in my mind; I believe Together we can do BETTER!

Because we didn’t come this far, just to come this far
