News from the Executive Director

BY Carlee Diggins (SHE/HER), Executive director

I am writing today with some bittersweet news. I will be transitioning out of my role at Students United at the end of April. I will be moving on to a new opportunity and I am excited to start the next chapter in my career. It is bittersweet to leave an organization I love and care for so much, but I will continue to advocate for student voices and higher education.

I always say that Students United is a special place. It is a place where higher education policy is rooted in student voices and student needs. It is a place where the students genuinely lead the organization, and staff co-collaborate with them to make it happen. It is a place filled with the best student leaders, the most fantastic staff, and a community full of tangible advocacy and thought leaders.

We will be starting the process to search for the next Executive Director. Be on the lookout later this week for the position description and application process. I would love to talk to anyone interested. Our staff has worked incredibly hard the last few years to make Students United the best place to work and an organization that continues to exceed goals. I am confident Students United will continue to thrive and elevate towards our vision to create the model of inclusive higher education policies and ensure every decision-making table has a student at it. Students United comprises next-level thinkers, and I am positive the new leadership will take it to the next level.

With gratitude and love,

Carlee
