This is what some committee members in Mankato had to share as their year as specialist was coming to an end:

Students United has enlighten me on various topics and given me opportunities I never dreamed of having. I’ve been open to many policies and procedures which I won’t forget in a long time. During my time, I had the chance to speak to MN senators and advocate for students. I had fun with Town Hall Tuesdays where students came and told us changes they wanted to see as well as their issues. I also loved tabling and giving out our merch! Other things I loved about Students United was the nice hotels and venues we used for conferences, the abundant snacks and the amazing staff!

Shout out to ALY; my direct boss (Public Relations) You rock! I’ll miss Students United

We, the representatives of Mankato, continued to bring more awareness and positive changes to Students United through social media, events and promoting the organization on our campus.

As representatives, we got to advocate for students on our campus and across the seven MinnState universities. We also had the opportunity to gain more knowledge on issues we never understood. We worked as a team to coordinate events making sure students got an idea of what Students United does. Tabling was fun and sometimes we had to shout “free money” especially for the scholarship tabling to get students to come to our table. I really appreciate all of the experiences and look forward to still being in touch with Students United.
